What is critical thinking? According to the PowerPoint, it means knowing more about how and why something happens and what will happen if something changes. You examine what you belief in and weigh your opinion against facts. You also you listen carefully, can give feedback, and are willing to change your beliefs, if needed. Moreover you look for proof to assist your beliefs; you test problems and don't accept information that is unrelated or untrue.

There are six classifications of the thinking levels moving from simple to complex according to Bloom’s Taxonomy. First, knowledge is a low level skill like matching names and pictures. Second, comprehension is understanding and read between the lines. Third, application is using facts and understanding to solve problems. Fourth, analysis is breaking down the information and examining it. Fifth, synthesis is taking out extra information then collecting the remaining information in the right order. Finally, evaluation involves opinion, understanding and reacting to the facts presented.

Critical thinking is important because it is the key for social changes. Moreover it inspires basic fundamentals of communication reading, writing, listening and speaking. It plays a fundamental role in technological advances. If you want to become a critical thinker you have to ask more questions. You have to be open minded. Furthermore you have to look for new and more solutions. What's more you have to be curious about things and how they became the way they are.

In conclusion, critical thinking is a high stage of thinking. Everyone needs it. Without it, we couldn’t achieve the life that we have today.
